The Internet Dad
Not Just Dad Jokes
At age 14, Rob Kenneyβs father abandoned him and his 7 siblings. ππ
Rob swore to be a better dad to his own children someday. π¨βπ§βπ¦β€οΈ
With his own kids grown, it was during the pandemic that Rob got the idea to help others by sharing his fatherly advice online. π±π‘
He wanted to reach anyone who might lack the basic life skills that a good dad would naturally teach. ππ§
So, he started a YouTube channel called "Dad, How Do I?" βΆοΈπΊ
Rob shares practical information, such as how to tie a tie π, change a tire ππ§, bake a cake π, and more.
Full of advice, stories, and of course, Dad jokes π, the videos went viral, earning him the title of βThe Internet Dad.β ππ¨βπ»
An introvert at heart, Rob was initially overwhelmed by the positive responses and his over 4 million subscribers. ππ
But he eventually left his day job to work on the channel full-time with the help of his family. π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦πΌ
He even wrote a companion book π, full of his Dad advice.
Rob Kenney hopes his work not only empowers those who are fatherless but also emboldens fathers who may feel lost or discouraged, to never give up and just keep doing the best that they can. ππͺ
